the word "I love you", when it's said
can mean so many things.
When one hears it, it might sound normal -
and to others it may give wings.
Many people ask themselves
"How can love be defined?
Is it just a feeling
or a decision in your mind?"
Let's face it though: Human love
can hurt you and let you down.
They treat you with love when they smile
and hurtful when they frown.
Each and every one of us
is created for love.
And though human love is important
it should primarily come from above.
Human love, it so depends
on feelings that come and go.
A loved one can make you happy one day
then the next one, they get you low.
Pure love comes from the heart of god
flows to those who will receive.
It takes no perfection. The only condition
is that you must believe
that there is someone out there,
nearer then you know,
who loves you and who cherishes you
whatever you do or wherever you go.
One person once described it
oh so beautifully,
when they said "You are loved with all
the passion of eternity."
This poem holds so much truth. What I would recommend is just making sure you proofread your poem. Line twelve should read: and hurt you when they frown. Also, there are a few areas in the poem where the rhythm is lost do to extra lines.
Okay. I did mean "And hurtful" because line 11 said "they treat you with love ..."
I thought it fits, but I see your point. I didn't know how to do a paerfect rythm. Bear in mind it's not my first language. Thanks anyways.
I understand the whole deal with keeping a perfect rhythm. It's sometimes very difficult. In order to do this, you have to shrink the number of words, and compact and rearrange them, which isn't always easy or even possible.
what beautiful wording,
"You are loved with all
the passion of eternity."
...and I do beleieve you are correct
in saying that
Love gives to us wings.
Yes, wings to fly higher than we ever
thought and dreamed

Connie, I got this quote from a song. I don't know the title, but it's a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. But this part of the lyrics especially impacted me.
Yeah, I have to agree with you there. Those words are really touching. And, they are so true! God has helped me in several difficult situations. I don't know what I would do without his love.

Thanks. There's a few missunderstandings here and it is almost ironic that people see "pure love" and think of something dirty. It's almost funny, I almost always have to explain that, though human love is nice, it can be poluted and selfish. God's love is pure. Agape. Selfless.
